HOWDY, WHAT'S UP?

(yeah, the pic is of the cast of "Welcome Back, Kotter" - stupid, I know, but I felt like it...)

Man, Oh man...I can't seem to get anyone else to do it for me, and I've been spending so much time reading the "Morning News" and "Arkansas Times" I just can't resist poking my ugly mug back in.

Greg and everyone at thefiveforty.com seem to have also decided to take a long vacation, so why not? The beach is great out here, crab season is starting on the Bay and we've already been to DC for the Cherry Blossom fest, sure.

But what's all this about the Coach? Someone dropped me a line aboutsome sort of series of text messages between "the man" and a local news anchor. Not sure what's happening with that in the least, but it sure makes it tough to stay away from the Arkansas websites. And, what's this? Do my eyes deceive me? Did my old friends at the Arkansas Family Coalition pack it in? I see nothing on their site but some sort of You-Tubishness. Please, someone tell me the story about how that happened and where they all went.

I read that Warwick over at ArkTimes also pitched it in and joined the fine folks over at either AETN or that school in Conway. Why, a million times, why? But hey, the oldies are the goodies, right? I see even Lucas Roebuck decided he couldn't stay away from the blogs, and my friend Baber has done his share to keep things going (Seligman, I'm looking at you, you lazy good for nothing so-and-so) and even (heaven help us) it looks like Don Bright has even decided to start playing online over at the NWA Poltics festival of hard headed blunders. Of course, when I looked for anything he'd posted,I couldn't find anything written...just a blank page.

Matt at Overtaken continues to postsome pretty sharp digital pics, so that's good. Where'd everybody run off too? Anyway, I just can't stay off this site. It's been a couple of months, but it was too much of a habit, and took too much hard work just to let the thing die like this. Nice to be back in the neighborhood, so-to-speak.

Now, all I need is some KNWA on satellite...
